In our lives we often become so busy that even our time before the Lord in prayer, praise or worship is extremely quick. The cares of the world, the happenings in our lives seem to flood our minds as we try to become intimate in our time with God.
Below I would like to share a poem I wrote and included in a newsletter I use to mail out. The newsletter was titled, “the EnCourager” and the poem is titled, “Had Only You Stayed.” This poem dates 1996 but is still one of my favorites. May the words encourage and warm your heart to Remain in the presence of the Lord until He releases you and you receive exactly what you need!! Be Blessed!!
“Had Only You Stayed”
Had only you stayed and quieted your soul. Had only you stayed... I would have spoken the answer you so desperately needed. Had only you stayed... I would have soothed your troubled mind and erased those fears that clouded your thoughts. Had only you stayed... I would have spoke the Word that would have moved your mountain. Had only you stayed... I would have given you a new song to sing to strengthen you and a melody that would have flooded your heart. Had only you stayed... Had only you stayed and quieted your soul.
